Nuclear safety

Nuclear safety is an absolute priority for the EU, the first major regional nuclear actor to provide a binding legal framework on nuclear safety.

The objective is to protect human beings and the environment under all circumstances by preventing the spread of dangerous quantities of radioactive materials and to prevent incidents and accidents or minimize the consequences.

Europe becomes a real model for the rest of the world in a context of renewed interest in nuclear energy.
