When looking for information on national legislation sites, it is not always easy to see how national legislation and EU directives relate to each other. To display related national and EU legislation together could facilitate the understanding of the relations existing between legislation. The European Legislation Identifier (ELI) can be used for this purpose.

This is why the ELI Taskforce is currently investigating what information website users are interested in and how to make this transposition information more 'accessible'.

As a first step, an online survey is going to be conducted via the legislation publishing websites of several EU Member States. Next, user and stakeholder interviews will be conducted to better understand the needs of the users. Participants in the online survey can apply to participate in the usability interviews.

The final outcome of the usability study will be shared with national legislation publishers, as well as on this website, so keep consulting us for further information.
