IL CONSIGLIO DELL'UNIONE EUROPEA,

THE COUNCIL OF THE EUROPEAN UNION,

visto il trattato sull'Unione europea, in particolare l'articolo 15,
|
Having regard to the Treaty on European Union, and in particular Article 15 thereof,
|
|
considerando quanto segue:
|
Whereas:
|
|
(1) Il 9 novembre 1998 il Consiglio ha definito la posizione comune 98/633/PESC(1) intesa a consolidare l'appoggio dell'Unione al processo di Royaumont sulla stabilità e sul buon vicinato nell'Europa sudorientale.

(1) On 9 November 1998, the Council defined Common Position 98/633/CFSP(1) which aims at consolidating the Union's support for the Royaumont Process on stability and good-neighbourliness in South-East Europe.

(2) Il 10 giugno 1999 i ministri degli Affari esteri degli Stati membri dell'Unione europea e la Commissione delle Comunità europee, unitamente alle altre parti del patto di stabilità per l'Europa sudorientale, hanno convenuto di concludere un patto di stabilità per l'Europa sudorientale.

(2) On 10 June 1999, the Foreign Ministers of the Member States of the European Union and the Commission of the European Communities, together with the other participants in the Stability Pact for South-East Europe agreed to establish a Stability Pact for South-East Europe.

|
(3) Gli obiettivi del processo di Royaumont rientrano nei compiti del tavolo di lavoro 1 sulla democratizzazione e sui diritti dell'uomo del patto di stabilità.
|
(3) The objectives of the Royaumont Process are contained within the scope of working table 1 on democratisation and human rights of the Stability Pact.
|
|
(4) Le attività svolte a titolo del processo di Royaumont sono state pertanto inserite nel tavolo di lavoro.
|
(4) The activities heretofore carried out under the Royaumont Process have therefore been integrated into that working table.
|
|
(5) La posizione comune 98/633/PESC dovrebbe pertanto essere abrogata,
|
(5) Common Position 98/633/CFSP should therefore be repealed,
|
|
HA ADOTTATO LA PRESENTE POSIZIONE COMUNE:

HAS ADOPTED THIS COMMON POSITION:

Common Position 98/633/CFSP is hereby repealed.
