EUROPEISKA GEMENSKAPERNAS KOMMISSION HAR ANTAGIT DENNA FÖRORDNING

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

med beaktande av Fördraget om upprättandet av Europeiska gemenskapen,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,

med beaktande av rådets förordning (EG) nr 881/2002 av den 27 maj 2002 om införande av vissa särskilda restriktiva åtgärder mot vissa med Usama bin Ladin, nätverket al-Qaida och talibanerna associerade personer och enheter och om upphävande av förordning (EG) nr 467/2001 om förbud mot export av vissa varor och tjänster till Afghanistan, skärpning av flygförbudet och förlängning av spärrandet av tillgångar och andra finansiella medel beträffande talibanerna i Afghanistan(1), särskilt artikel 7.1 första strecksatsen i denna, och

Having regard to Council Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 of 27 May 2002 imposing certain specific restrictive measures directed against certain persons and entities associated with Usama bin Laden, the Al-Qaida network and the Taliban, and repealing Council Regulation (EC) No 467/2001 prohibiting the export of certain goods and services to Afghanistan, strengthening the flight ban and extending the freezing of funds and other financial resources in respect of the Taliban of Afghanistan(1), and in particular the first indent of Article 7(1) thereof,

av följande skäl:

Whereas:

(1) I bilaga I till förordning (EG) nr 881/2002 anges de personer, grupper och enheter som omfattas av det spärrande av tillgångar och ekonomiska resurser som införs genom den förordningen.

(1) Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 lists the persons, groups and entities covered by the freezing of funds and economic resources under that Regulation.

(2) Den 11 maj 2004 beslutade FN:s säkerhetsråds sanktionskommitté att ändra förteckningen över de personer, grupper och enheter som bör omfattas av spärrandet av tillgångar och ekonomiska resurser, och bilaga I bör därför ändras i enlighet därmed.

(2) On 11 May 2004 , the Sanctions Committee of the United Nations Security Council decided to amend the list of persons, groups and entities to whom the freezing of funds and economic resources should apply. Annex I should therefore be amended accordingly.

(3) För att de åtgärder som föreskrivs i denna förordning skall vara verkningsfulla måste denna förordning träda i kraft omedelbart.

(3) In order to ensure that the measures provided for in this Regulation are effective, this Regulation must enter into force immediately,

HÄRIGENOM FÖRESKRIVS FÖLJANDE.

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Artikel 1

Article 1

Bilaga I till rådets förordning (EG) nr 881/2002 skall ändras i enlighet med bilagan till den här förordningen.

Annex I to Regulation (EC) No 881/2002 is hereby amended in accordance with the Annex to this Regulation.

Artikel 2

Article 2

Denna förordning träder i kraft samma dag som den offentliggörs i Europeiska unionens officiella tidning .

This Regulation shall enter into force on the day of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union .

Denna förordning är till alla delar bindande och direkt tillämplig i alla medlemsstater.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
