LA COMISION DE LAS COMUNIDADES EUROPEAS,

Visto el Tratado constitutivo de la Comunidad Europea,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community,

Visto el Reglamento (CEE) no 2081/92 del Consejo, de 14 de julio de 1992, relativo a la protección de las indicaciones geográficas y de las denominaciones de origen de los productos agrícolas y alimenticios [1] y, en particular, los apartados 3 y 4 de su artículo 6,

Having regard to Council Regulation (EEC) No 2081/92 of 14 July 1992 on the protection of geographical indications and designations of origin for agricultural products and foodstsuffs [1], and in particular Article 6(3) and (4) thereof,

Considerando lo siguiente:

Whereas:

(1) Con arreglo a lo dispuesto en el apartado 2 del artículo 6 del Reglamento (CEE) no 2081/92, la solicitud de registro de la denominación "Terre Tarentine" presentada por Italia fue publicada en el Diario Oficial de la Unión Europea [2].

(1) In accordance with Article 6(2) of Regulation (EEC) No 2081/92, the application submitted by Italy for registration of the name "Terre Tarentine" was published in the Official Journal of the European Union [2].

(2) La Comisión no ha recibido ninguna declaración de oposición con arreglo al artículo 7 del Reglamento (CEE) no 2081/92, por lo que dicha denominación debe ser inscrita en el "Registro de Denominaciones de Origen Protegidas y de Indicaciones Geográficas Protegidas".

(2) Since no statement of objection within the meaning of Article 7 of Regulation (EEC) No 2081/92 has been sent to the Commission, the name should be entered in the "Register of protected designations of origin and protected geographical indications",

HA ADOPTADO EL PRESENTE REGLAMENTO:

HAS ADOPTED THIS REGULATION:

Artículo 1

Article 1

El anexo del Reglamento (CE) no 2400/96 se completará con la denominación que figura en el anexo del presente Reglamento.

The name listed in the Annex to this Regulation is hereby added to the Annex to Regulation (EC) No 2400/96.

Artículo 2

Article 2

El presente Reglamento entrará en vigor el vigésimo día siguiente al de su publicación en el Diario Oficial de la Unión Europea.

This Regulation shall enter into force on the twentieth day following that of its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.

El presente Reglamento será obligatorio en todos sus elementos y directamente aplicable en cada Estado miembro.

This Regulation shall be binding in its entirety and directly applicable in all Member States.
