uwzględniając Traktat ustanawiający Wspólnotę Europejską, w szczególności jego art. 238, w powiązaniu z art. 228 ust. 2 zdanie drugie i art. 228 ust. 3 akapit drugi,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Community, and in particular Article 238 in conjunction with the second sentence of Article 228(2) and the second subparagraph of Article 228(3) thereof,

uwzględniając Traktat ustanawiający Europejską Wspólnotę Węgla i Stali, w szczególności jego art. 95,

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Coal and Steel Community, and in particular Article 95 thereof,

po konsultacji z Komitetem Doradczym i za jednomyślną zgodą Rady,

After consultation of the Consultative Committee and the unanimous agreement of the Council,

uwzględniając zgodę Parlamentu Europejskiego [1],

Having regard to the assent of the European Parliament(1),

a także mając na uwadze, co następuje:

Whereas:

Układ eurośródziemnomorski ustanawiający Stowarzyszenie między Wspólnotami Europejskimi i ich Państwami Członkowskimi z jednej strony, a Jordańskim Królestwem Haszymidzkim z drugiej strony, podpisany w Brukseli w dniu 24 listopada 1997 r., powinien zostać zatwierdzony,

The Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, of the other part, signed in Brussels on 24 November 1997, should be approved,

PRZYJMUJĄ NINIEJSZĄ DECYZJĘ:

HAVE DECIDED AS FOLLOWS:

Artykuł 1

Układ eurośródziemnomorski ustanawiający Stowarzyszenie między Wspólnotami Europejskimi i ich Państwami Członkowskimi z jednej strony, a Jordańskim Królestwem Haszymidzkim z drugiej strony, protokoły załączone do niego oraz deklaracje załączone do Aktu Końcowego zostają niniejszym zatwierdzone w imieniu Wspólnoty Europejskiej i Europejskiej Wspólnoty Węgla i Stali.

Article 1

Teksty Układu, protokołów załączonych do niego i Aktu Końcowego są załączone do niniejszej decyzji.

The Euro-Mediterranean Agreement establishing an Association between the European Communities and their Member States, of the one part, and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, of the other part, the Protocols annexed thereto and the declarations attached to the Final Act are hereby approved on behalf of the European Community and the European Coal and Steel Community.

Artykuł 2

The texts of the Agreement, the Protocols annexed thereto and the Final Act are attached to this Decision.

1. Stanowisko, które przyjmie Wspólnota w Radzie Stowarzyszenia i w Komitecie Stowarzyszenia, jest określane przez Radę na wniosek Komisji lub, gdzie właściwe, przez Komisję, w każdym wypadku zgodnie z odpowiednimi postanowieniami Traktatów ustanawiających Wspólnotę Europejską i Europejską Wspólnotę Węgla i Stali.

2. Przewodniczący Rady, zgodnie z art. 90 Układu, przewodniczy Radzie Stowarzyszenia i przedstawia stanowisko Wspólnoty. Przedstawiciel przewodniczącego Rady przewodniczy Komitetowi Stowarzyszenia, zgodnie z art. 93 Układu, i przedstawia stanowisko Wspólnoty.

Article 2

Artykuł 3

1. The position to be taken by the Community within the Association Council and the Association Committee shall be laid down by the Council, on a proposal from the Commission, or, where appropriate, by the Commission, each in accordance with the corresponding provisions of the Treaties establishing the European Community and the European Coal and Steel Community.

W imieniu Wspólnoty Europejskiej przewodniczący Rady dokonuje notyfikacji przewidzianej w art. 106 Układu. Przewodniczący Komisji przekazuje tą notyfikację w imieniu Europejskiej Wspólnoty Węgla i Stali.

2. The President of the Council shall, in accordance with Article 90 of the Agreement, preside over the Association Council and present the position of the Community. A representative of the President of the Council shall preside over the Association Committee, in accordance with Article 93 of the Agreement, and present the position of the Community.

Sporządzono w Brukseli, dnia 26 marca 2002 r.

Article 3

W imieniu Rady

The President of the Council shall deposit the act of notification provided for in Article 106 of the Agreement on behalf of the European Community. The President of the Commission shall deposit that act on behalf of the European Coal and Steel Community.
