RICHTLIJN VAN DE COMMISSIE van 9 juni 1980 betreffende de vaststelling van het symbool waarvan materialen en voorwerpen bestemd om met levensmiddelen in aanraking te komen, kunnen worden voorzien (80/590/EEG)

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,
|
Gelet op het Verdrag tot oprichting van de Europese Economische Gemeenschap,

Having regard to Council Directive 76/893/EEC of 23 November 1976 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (1), and in particular the last indent of Article 7 (1) (a) thereof,
|
Gelet op Richtlijn 76/893/EEG van de Raad van 23 november 1976 betreffende de onderlinge aanpassing van de wetgevingen der Lid-Staten inzake materialen en voorwerpen bestemd om met levensmiddelen in aanraking te komen (1), met name op artikel 7, lid 1, sub a), laatste gedachtenstreepje,

Whereas the last indent of Article 7 (1) (a) of Directive 76/893/EEC provides for the determination of a symbol that may accompany materials and articles instead of the particulars "for food use" or a specific indication as to the use of such materials and articles;
|
Overwegende dat artikel 7, lid 1, sub a) laatste gedachtenstreepje, van Richtlijn 76/893/EEG de vaststelling voorschrijft van een symbool waarvan de materialen en voorwerpen ter vervanging van de woorden "voor levensmiddelen" of "voor eet- en drinkwaren" of van een specifieke aanduiding voor het gebruik van deze materialen en voorwerpen kunnen worden voorzien;

Whereas such symbol must be easy to understand ; whereas in addition it must be possible to reproduce it on materials and articles or on other media under the best possible technical conditions;
|
Overwegende dat een dergelijk symbool gemakkelijk te begrijpen dient te zijn en dat de weergave ervan op de materialen en voorwerpen of op andere dragers bovendien technisch zo eenvoudig mogelijk moet kunnen geschieden;
|
|
Whereas the symbol reproduced in the Annex hereto meets these criteria;
|
Overwegende dat het in de bijlage voorkomende symbool aan deze criteria beantwoordt;
|
|
Whereas the measures provided for in this Directive are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Foodstuffs,
|
Overwegende dat de in deze richtlijn vervatte maatregelen in overeenstemming zijn met het advies van het Permanent Comité voor levensmiddelen,
|
|
HAS ADOPTED THIS DIRECTIVE:

HEEFT DE VOLGENDE RICHTLIJN VASTGESTELD:

Article 1

The symbol referred to in the last indent of Article 7 (1) (a) of Directive 76/893/EEC shall be that reproduced in the Annex hereto.
|
Het symbool, dat in artikel 7, lid 1 sub a), laatste gedachtenstreepje, van Richtlijn 76/893/EEG wordt voorgeschreven, is weergegeven in de bijlage.

The Member States shall take the measures necessary to authorize with effect from 1 January 1981 the use of the symbol referred to in Article 1.
|
De Lid-Staten nemen de nodige maatregelen om het gebruik van het in artikel 1 bedoelde symbool met ingang van 1 januari 1981 toe te staan.

This Directive is addressed to the Member States.
