COMMISSION DIRECTIVE of 9 June 1980 determining the symbol that may accompany materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (80/590/EEC)

THE COMMISSION OF THE EUROPEAN COMMUNITIES,

(1980. gada 9. jūnijs),

Having regard to the Treaty establishing the European Economic Community,

ar kuru nosaka simbolu, ko var pievienot materiāliem un priekšmetiem, kas paredzēti saskarei ar pārtikas produktiem

Having regard to Council Directive 76/893/EEC of 23 November 1976 on the approximation of the laws of the Member States relating to materials and articles intended to come into contact with foodstuffs (1), and in particular the last indent of Article 7 (1) (a) thereof,

EIROPAS KOPIENU KOMISIJA,

Whereas the last indent of Article 7 (1) (a) of Directive 76/893/EEC provides for the determination of a symbol that may accompany materials and articles instead of the particulars "for food use" or a specific indication as to the use of such materials and articles;

ņemot vērā Eiropas Ekonomikas kopienas dibināšanas līgumu,

Whereas such symbol must be easy to understand ; whereas in addition it must be possible to reproduce it on materials and articles or on other media under the best possible technical conditions;

ņemot vērā Padomes 1976. gada 23. novembra Direktīvu 76/893/EEK par dalībvalstu to tiesību aktu tuvināšanu, kuri attiecas uz materiāliem un izstrādājumiem, kas paredzēti saskarei ar pārtikas produktiem [1], un jo īpaši tās 7. panta 1. punkta a) apakšpunkta pēdējo ievilkumu,

Whereas the symbol reproduced in the Annex hereto meets these criteria;

tā kā Direktīvas 76/893/EEK 7. panta 1. punkta a) apakšpunkta pēdējā ievilkumā ir paredzēts noteikt simbolu, ko materiāliem un izstrādājumiem var pievienot precizējuma "lietošanai pārtikā" vietā vai īpašas norādes vietā par to, kā lietojami šādi materiāli un izstrādājumi;

Whereas the measures provided for in this Directive are in accordance with the opinion of the Standing Committee on Foodstuffs,

tā kā šādam simbolam jābūt viegli saprotamam; tā kā bez tam to jāspēj atveidot uz materiāliem un izstrādājumiem vai uz citiem nesējiem ar iespējami labvēlīgiem tehniskajiem nosacījumiem;

HAS ADOPTED THIS DIRECTIVE:

tā kā šīs regulas pielikumā atveidotais simbols atbilst šiem kritērijiem;

tā kā šajā direktīvā paredzētie pasākumi ir saskaņā ar Pārtikas produktu pastāvīgās komitejas atzinumu,

Article 1

IR PIEŅĒMUSI ŠO DIREKTĪVU.

The symbol referred to in the last indent of Article 7 (1) (a) of Directive 76/893/EEC shall be that reproduced in the Annex hereto.

1. pants

Direktīvas 76/893/EEK 7. panta 1. punkta a) apakšpunkta pēdējā ievilkumā minētais simbols ir tas simbols, kas atveidots šīs regulas pielikumā.

Article 2

2. pants

The Member States shall take the measures necessary to authorize with effect from 1 January 1981 the use of the symbol referred to in Article 1.

Dalībvalstis veic vajadzīgos pasākumus, lai atļautu lietot 1. pantā minēto simbolu no 1981. gada 1. janvāra.

3. pants

Article 3

Šī direktīva ir adresēta dalībvalstīm.

This Directive is addressed to the Member States.
