Treaty establishing the European Community (Amsterdam consolidated version) Article 212 The Commission shall work under the political guidance of its President. The Commission shall act by a majority of the number of Members provided for in Article 213. A meeting of the Commission shall be valid only if the number of Members laid down in its Rules of Procedure is present.
